Experience Candle Making: 1850's
Our Candle Courtyard provides an interpretive historical experience to students and families alike. Our expert staff will help guide you as you create your very own candle, similar to how people would have made candles back in the 1800's.

Creating candles is a fun way to experience the historic town of Columbia and also bring home a colorful memento!
Candle dipping is great for students learning about the gold rush or families visiting the park.
Hours
Our dipping station is open 7 days/week 10 a.m.-5 p.m. from May through the beginning of September.
Beginning Labor Day, the candle dipping is open weekends only, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. OR by reservation.
School groups and/or party groups, please call to reserve your spot.
